Outside Time

My guinea pigs LOVE going outside to chew the grass. They don't really move anywhere and they'll be fine without some sort of cover, but I hide them under a sled because I don't want a bird to get them. The only downside is sometimes when I go to bring them back in they run into a my front lawn bush. You're probably thinking that's cute but they're really hard to get out=D. Twinkie is like super ninja camouflage and blends in with the bush. But, anyway if you have guinea pigs I suggest taking them outside, but look out for pesticide warnings. Also, don't take them to a public park where lots of dogs go to you-know-what on the grass they eat=O. And, peg little guinea pig braces would be cute, but not for my guinea pigs=). With the bucktooth blog I think they actually do have buckTEETH because I saw a little line between the buckTOOTH so sorry. Please comment and ask questions so I can make my blog better

Buckteeth Or Bucktooth

Ok I'm really sorry about not writing FOREVR and I probably owe you guys about a bagillion dollars but I'm writing a new post so hope you enjoy. I've figured out that guinea pigs who are so famous for their buckteeth actually only have one bucktooth (on the top of their mouth)! I really hope that's not just with my guinea pigs because something went wrong at birth or something like that but I'm pretty sure every guinea pig has one bucktooth. So that's all and I hope I write more blogs but you can help by leaving me comments and questions so I have something to write about.

Me And My Guinea Pigs Are Sorry=(

I'm very sorry to all my readers who haven't seen a new post in a long time. I hope your still checking my blog to see if there's new posts because if you aren't this apology letter won't work. Anyway I'm sorry that I haven't bin writing as much as I should and I will and if I don't write a post every two days (at least) then I owe you 5 dollars ( I know you're thinking $$ but I'm crossing my fingers, but you can still say I owe you 5 bucks) So, I hope you except my apology for getting out of the habit of writing in my blog. Also I Heart KC I don't bring them in the snow because they're used to warm temperatures so I don't think it would be good for them. You can try the mittens and hats though. Please comment and ask questions so I can make my blog better.

First Word

Thank you for some ideas to break my WRITER'S BLOCK!!!!!!! so now I have new things to write. Somebody asked what my guinea pigs first word would be if they can talk. I think they would say, (I don't know yet, I haven't learned to read their minds yet) when do we eat or get me out of this stinkin cage=). Or it might be "Hi my name is ...........(insert name) please stop calling me Slinky (or Twinkie) it's quite annoying. It could really be anything it's hard to tell. And as usual please comment and ask questions so I can make my blog better. Also thank you I Heart KC for your wonderful idea.

Nails

Sorry I haven't posted for a long time. I've kind of bin busy with all my homework and playing football and trying to cram in all that plus playing as much video games as I can before I have to go to bed. So I guess you can call that busy. Anyway, guinea pigs nails are very important. If you don't use orange nail polish on them they can get very unhealthy. I'm kidding lol but their nails are important. If they get too long they can hurt them. You can go to the vet to cut but if you want to save some money you can do it yourself. You can use regular nail cutters (small ones) or special ones for guinea pigs. What I'd do first is give them some kind of veggie so they can be distracted while you cut their nails. If you cut to much off it can hurt only cut of the clear part and not too much of that either. Also cut a lot less then you think you need to.

debrakin Response

Hello debrakin. I could not tell you were a English teacher but that's pretty cool. I do draw but I'm not good at realistic drawings I draw more in a cartoonish way. And guinea pigs are very friendly and they won't bite you if you touch them. =) See ya, James

First Day

The first day you get your guinea pigs is not too much fun. First of all your guinea pigs stand stock still for the whole day. You get really worried about them. And...you get more worried about them. On the first day you shouldn't take them out because they need to get used to their cage first. As I said before you'll probably start worrying about them. Their OKAY they're just scared from getting moved to a different place. I remember the first night I got them I stayed up almost the whole night watching them. I hope you don't follow in my footsteps. Anyway remember to feed them and on the second day you should take them out for some exercise. Remember to always comment and ask questions so I can make my blog better. And to Peg my guinea pigs names are Twinkie and Slinky you can go to my first post called "My Guinea Pigs" to find out more information.

Writer's Block!! :(

I don't know it's good to tell you peoples, but we can't keep too many secrets (accept the secret language) so I'll tell you. I'm at a WRITER'S BLOCK!!!!!!! If you don't know what a WRITER'S BLOCK!!!!!!! is well I can't tell you it's a secret. I'm kidding, it's when moi (me in French) has nothing to write about and you (I don't know how to say you in French) stop reading my blog then moi gets sad. So please please PLEASE (I like messing with the sizes) comment and ask questions so I can get more ideas on what to write. Thank you very much. Peace out James.

Hiding

A fun little thing to do is hide veggies in your guinea pig's cage. You can hide them in cardboard tubes (toilet or paper towel rolls) or on top of their igloo or just anywhere around their cage. I just started doing this with my guinea pigs and they haven't found one of them yet lol, but I'm going to keep trying. Have fun with doing this and please blah blah blah you know what I'm going to say ( if your a first time reader I'd say please comment and ask questions) but please do comment and ask questions it's very important to me. Bye James

Secret Language Part 2

I'm not going to tell you my secret language, but certain sounds that guinea pigs make actually mean things. I don't know how to but sound recordings of my guinea pigs and I don't have a recorder to record them but I can give you a link. Type in jackiesguineapiggies.com and then scroll down a bit and click guinea pig care. Then scroll down a bit again and click guinea pig sounds it has a guinea pig playing a bass. The author has wonderful information on other things to and I suggest you read them. Please comment and ask question on how I can make my blog better.

Secret Language

Some of you asked me what my secret language is with my guinea pigs. Sadly I can't tell you because then it wouldn't be a secret would it? I'm kidding. It's not a language we made up together, they just start squeaking and then I interpret. Sometimes they tell me about going to school (even though I haven't taken them to school --I don't know where they get it from.) Sometimes they get a little confused and they say the same thing over and over again. They say the same thing over and over again. They say the same thing over and over again. They say the same thing over and over again. They say the same thing over and over again. Of course that never happens to me but they're a little confused sometimes=) And the trick is to just shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh don't tell anybody, is to kfnbva[OKNBGKOADFFNGOI AHHHHH THE KEYBOARD WON'T LET ME TELL YOU!!!!!!!!! Please comment and ask question on how to make my blog better.

"Invisible" Mode

"Invisible" mode is when my guinea pigs will stand like totally still because then in their brains there like oh he can't see me now I'm safe. They do this when I take them out to play. I think they're just getting used to their surroundings because after about 7-10 minutes they start moving around, telling me stories ( I understand their secret language) and so on and so forth. Just wait and don't move too much because that will scare them some more. Hopefully my guinea pigs will soon trust me super-well and they won't even have to go "invisible" but until then bye. Please comment and ask questions so I can make my blog better (and I can brag to my friends that I have so many comments) joking but please do comment. See ya James

Furniture

Guinea pigs like their cage because there's hiding spots, food, and water. It's like their house, they like it. But, they looooooooooooooove it when you move around furniture (as I like to call it) so they can explore something new. Every few days I change a piece of furniture around in their cage. When I clean out the cage I redecorate their cage and they start exploring it for like 30 minutes. So just try every few days to move a piece of furniture (like old shirts, igloos, etc.) around a bit to make their life better. And take them out EVERY day. Please comment and ask questions to make my blog better.

A few different ways to pick up guinea pigs.

Picking Up Your Guinea Pigs.

Picking them up is very important as you can hurt them if you pick them up wrong. To pick them up you use one hand to go under their belly and the other hand supports their butt. Don't squeeze to tight because they have fragile bones and you can break them. This sounds complicated (or at least it does to me) but once you actually pick one up it's pretty easy. When your letting them back into your cage you have to hold them a little tighter because they start squirming around to get back into their cage. I'll upload some pictures later on how I pick my piggies up. Please coment and ask questions so I can make my blog better
